I went to a meeting today in Real Life about Education in Second Life. I’ve written a fuller report over at http://redgloo.sse.reading.ac.uk/ssswills/weblog/1674.html.

But there was one really spectacular project called Theatron where they produce in-world models of theatres correct in detail. They even have to advise peopleto re-size their avatars – as apparently most people have avatars which are the equivalent to 7 foot tall!

It links from an article on the JISC homepage entitled: "It's just a game? Report on computer gaming published".

JISC (Joint Information Systems Committee) is a UK funded body looking at "innovative use of Information and Communications Technology to support education and research".
